The scriptures prophecy that in the last days, the love of many will grow cold. The many will no longer endure sound doctrine, but will want their ears tickled. How do believers come to this place? 2 Thessalonians says that they will actually align themselves with the lawless one because they did not receive the love of the truth and that because of that, God will send upon them a deluding influence and that they will believe what is false.
